Dr. Slavica Petrović is an assistant professor at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Forestry, Department of Wood Science and Technology. She graduated from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Forestry, Department of Wood Processing in 2002 with an average grade of 9.29 and 10 in her final exam. The topic of her thesis was: ‘Export Prices of Sawn Hardwood from Serbia to the Most Important Markets’. In 2007, she defended her master’s thesis with the topic: ‘The Research of Competitiveness Elements of Wood Flooring from Serbia on the EU Market’. In 2014, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: ‘Market Opportunities and Economic Effects of Sustainable Use of Wood Pellets as Biofuel in Serbia”.

She has been employed at the Faculty of Forestry since March 1, 2003.

Her research areas include: Production organisation in the wood industry, management in the wood industry, bioenergy, biomass, trade in wood and wood products.

She is a co-author of a book and a practice book and has published over 50 papers as the author or co-author.

Slavica Petrović is a founding member of WoodEMA – International Associations for Economics and Management in Wood Processing and Furniture Manufacturing.
