Prof. Meloska was born February 24th 1963. She graduated at the Faculty of Forestry (University Ss. Cyril and Methodius) in Skopje in 1986 and she got her doctoral degree in the field of Wood Industry in 1999.

She started teaching at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje in the year of 1987, joining the teaching collective as an assistant professor at the department of Economics and Organization in the Wood Processing Industry. She was elected as full professor at the same department, specializing in Marketing and Economics in 1999. Till date, Zhivka Meloska is a full professor at the Faculty of Furniture and Interior Design and Technologies.

Her primary focus within the realm of scientific and research work is dedicated to the market dynamics of wood products, the economic underpinnings of wood processing companies, and the strategic planning of production programs. Over the course of her career, she has authored and co-authored in over 100 scientific articles, have been a part of numerous international scientific projects and scientific conferences from the field. She has successfully mentored three Master’s degrees candidates and one PhD candidate as well.

Prof. Meloska has been head of the Wood Industry at the Faculty of Forestry from 2000 until 2004. She was a member of the University Senate for three consecutive terms from 2014 to 2020. She headed the Erasmus Program at the Faculty of Furniture and Interior Design and Technologies from 2010 till 2021. She is head of the Wood industry/processing Department at the faculty and was elected as vice-dean for the 2021-2022 term. Prof. Meloska is one of the founding members of WoodEMA i.a.
